Lisa Starr is the Poet Laureate of Rhode Island, a mother, an innkeeper, and organizer of writing workshops. Her poetry is from the heart and  guts, using simple direct words to reach the depths of human experience. Lisa is the founder and director of the Block Island Poetry Project, a nationally acclaimed writing series.
